Who are we?

Dromara Cycling Club is a local amateur cycling club based in County Down, Northern Ireland.

We offer a wide variety of cycling activities to our members including:
  • Saturday and Sunday cycles at both a leisure and training pace
  • Thursday evening club events including time trials and road races (runs April to September)
  • Thursday evening mountain biking throughout the winter months
  • Open leisure events for all cyclists such as our popular Coastal Tour (May) and Mourne Sportive and Hilly leisure tours (August).
  • A cyclo cross event (November)
  • Mountain bike Trail Quests (November - February)
The club has been established for over 20 years and club membership has grown rapidly over the last number of years due to its very friendly members and hard working administration team.  Club members meet monthly to discuss and organise cycling activities and newcomers are always welcomed to join us at our club events or at the monthly meetings.  At the end of the year there is the club Christmas Dinner and Awards night.  Early in the new year we have our club Annual General Meeting (AGM).   We have a popular message board for up-to-date cycling information and our web site contains reports of all our recent cycling news.

Administration
The club is run by a committee of 9 members and is affiliated to Cycling Ireland.  Through Cycling Ireland we can provide a range of cycling insurance which can give you cover for both personal accident and 3rd party insurance.

If you require any further information about the club, please email our club secretary Trevor Annett who will answer your questions.
