A GREAT SUCCESS

Seventy cyclists gathered at Dromara village Football Club for the annual Coastal Tour.  Two distances of 60 and 81 miles were available.  The route meandered around the coast line from Killough to Whiterock and was shown to its best by the fabulous weather.  The tea stop was in the beautiful village of Strangford.  A great day was had by all.

Cycle touring continues for the next two weeks with Lantern Rouge CC running an event from Loughinisland on Sunday 23rd May and Slieve Gullion Wheelers from Camlough on Sunday 30th May.

Thanks to all for the great support. A lot of blue on the road in the form or La Lanterne Rouge in their nice new strip. Not forgetting Newry Wheelers, cycling all the way down and back, a total of more than 126 mile, although at the pace they were setting the Guinness must be a lot cheaper in Newry!  Slieve Gullion Wheelers who have their tour next Sunday 30th were there in force, as were North Down Toyota with a good turn out. We hope you enjoyed your day and will return next year.

We would appreciate you comments on this coastal tour, regarding route, refreshments, start location or anything else, either positive or negative. You can send them to coastalcomments@dromaracc.co.uk  or better still leave a message on our message forum
