CHILDREN'S CYCLING GYMKHANA - DROMARA FESTIVAL 

    Organised By Dromara Cycling Club.

Location.

Tuesday 10th June at the community hall, Dromara an excellent turn out of 49 children with proud parents in tow.  A fine sunny evening encouraged children with an age range of 4 to 15.

 Event

Each child was faced with five different obstacle courses, including cycling around cones, over a see-saw, under a limbo pole and turning in a tight circle. Each child was separated into age groups, 5 to 8, 9 to 11 and 12 to 15. All 49 were given score cards  so each event time was recorded.

In all the gymkhana took one hour twenty minutes to complete, before the times could be collated and prizes awarded.

Prize Winners

There were nine prize winners, three in each age group. Prizes kindly sponsored by Seamus Downey Cycles, Dromore.

1st prize was a cycle computer, 2nd a water bottle and cage, 3rd a pump and

 puncture outfit kit.
