| Dromara Cycling Club's Annual
Children's Gymkhana 10 June 2008 The ever popular Children's Cycling Gymkhana, was held this evening at Dromara football club. Over 70 children aged between 2 and 13 attended the event which was part of the Dromara Village Festival and very kindly sponsored by Versatile Windows NI of Ballynahinch. The event comprised 5 separate timed courses cumulating into a total time. The five timed events were, A: 50 metre sprint, B: stop box for 2 seconds, with a 3 second penalty if they touched the ground, C: slalom though cones, D: limbo under a suspended pole, E: Lift and place a small ball between cones without stopping. A sixth event was attempted but the see-saw proved too difficult for the younger children (especially those with stabilizers!). 
Each child was issued with a record card to have their times noted on. The children were categorized into 4 age groups, under 6, under 8, under 10 and under 14 with a great mix of ages
At the end prizes will be given to the 1st and 2nd fastest boy and girl in each of four different ages groups.
