Trail Quest Round 3
and
Leisure Cycle

On Sunday 20th January 2008, Dromara Cycling Club will be hosting BOTH the final round of our popular three round Trail Quest league AND a 53 km Leisure Cycle for the road riders.

Trail Quest
So far over 100 people have entered the first two rounds of trail quests raising over £1000 for the Children's Cancer Home. The third round will be started from the superb facility of Shimna Valley, Bryansford Road Newcastle (map). We would love the turnout to be bigger than the previous Trail Quests at Dromara and Seaforde.  If you were unable to attend any or all of these, please don't be put off.  Why not come join in the last round, have fun and support this good cause.

Entry fees for the MTB Trail Quest will be:
£15 for a team of one adult and either 1 or 2 juniors (under 16)
£20 for a team of 2 or 3 adults (no juniors)
£10 for adults going solo

All ages welcome, but under 16 will need adult supervision.

Leisure Cycle
To assist in raising money, and to let all those who enjoy leisure cycling join in, Dromara Cycling Club are providing a second option, a 53km leisure cycle. This will also start at Shimna Valley (map) on the same day, but start time will be 11 am. This later start time will allow those who want to get a few extra miles in, the opportunity to cycle to the event.  For those who prefer just to start cycling at 11 am can come along for the 35 or so miles. The route avoids all large climbs, heading out towards Castlewellan, Ballyronney and Hilltown, before returning to Newcastle.

The Entry fee for Leisure Cycle is £5.
