Children’s Gymkhana returns to Dromara

On Monday 8 June 2026 Dromara Cycling Club hosted their annual Children’s Cycling Gymkhana as part of the Dromara Village Festival. The event was held at the Dromara Village Centre starting from 6:30 pm. The weather forecast had predicted rain for the evening and this is likely to have people off. We did end up with 17 riders from the local community and the weather stayed, mostly dry, with just one short shower. As before there were 6 trails set up. Ramps, chicane, wooden rollers, cone pick up with limbo bar, grass circuit and the pump track. The riders were allowed to have several attempts at each trial, aiming to beat their previous time. Afterwards they were rewards with some sweets courtesy of the Festival organisers.
