Club League kicks off on Thursday with the Kelly “Beginners” Road Race

The long awaited Club League will kick off this Thursday so make sure you have all your excuses to hand. I haven’t been on the bike all winter, i’ve a cold, the bike isn’t quite right etc etc. I have a few more if you need to borrow one.

First up marshal form – get it filled in so we know what marshals are available for the night as it is very hard to wait until the night to see if we have enough marshals to run the event. Not enough Marshals = no club league event.

Round 1 is the Kelly Race held on the Harry Ferguson Course and it is geared as a beginners road race i.e. aimed at those who have not won a race before, who will not be riding in scratch this year and finally if you have won this race before you cant do it again (#alwaysanewwinner). There will be a large bias on first Group so the other two groups will need to work really well together to catch them. There are no points for the club league and this is a fun event so try not to complain about which group you are in – the club league committee tries to go on past performance and secret winter intel to come up with these groups and as you all know the intel can be a tad dodgy at times.

If you can marshal then please stick your name on the forum or use the marshal form and if you are not listed in a group then don’t worry as we will find you a group on the night.

Tickets for the 30th Anniversary Black Tie Ball can be purchased on the night as well…..what is this I hear you ask. I will have a post up later with all the information.
