Smyth takes win from Wilson in MTB CL Rnd 3

Cool evening, ground greasy after rain earlier in the day, with 16 Brave riders taking to the line.
A hard race for all. Possibly tougher conditions, very slippy in places, with an extended loop to compete on, and an extra lap on last weeks race.
The longer lap certainly tested the riders technically and young Ben Wilson showed how it should be ridden. Graham Smyth didnt have a great ride last week but this reporter has information that he put his head down and during the week had a serious recce of the lap. That recce certainly paid off.

Group 1 took the Honours with Graham Smyth just about pipping 12 year old Ben wilson over almost an hours racing, great performance by both. Graham improving drastically from his first race of the year Jitters last week, and Ben mixing it with the seasoned Adult XC racers and leaving them for dead. Peter Davison rounds out the podium again with another strong ride showing great consistency.

No podium pictures due to a downpour at the end and everyone heading for home to get the heat on but thanks to Andra there are a few pictures which can be found here.
